New York house legend Morgan Geist is making his return to disco house under the new moniker Storm Queen and has an EP for ‘Look Right Through’ set to release February 1 on Defected Records. The label has released a preview of the EP which features remixes by Aeroplane, Dimitri from Paris, and Jamie Jones. I’ve included my favourite below but the rest can be previewed on the label’s SoundCloud here.

We haven’t seen much activity from Aeroplane’s debut album We Can’t Fly in a while, so it’s a great surprise to see remix previews of the albums next single up on Soundcloud. Red The Dog and Green Velvet provide remixes of Aeroplane’s new single ‘My Enemy’ to be released May 23rd on Eskimo Recordings. Aeroplane remixed Human League’s Never Let Me Go throwing us back to Aeroplane’s heavy italo-disco days. It clocks in at over 7 minutes as every dance-floor hit should.

I must say, I’m pretty impressed with myself for completing this. Here is 514blog’s Best Remixes of 2010. There were so many fantastic releases this year it really was hard to narrow them down but I managed to pick the 20 absolute best. The remixes needed to not only sound good, but differ enough from their original forms as well.
