Carte Blanche have released their second EP Man On the Moon May 30th on Ed Banger Records. The EP features new single ‘Jack On the Moon’ which we heard on the label’s Record Store Day offering The Bee Sides. Hot Chip frontman Alexis Talyor joins on ‘With You’.

VillA uploaded their May 2011 ‘in the mix’ compilation today. The mix starts off with the beautiful ‘Anglo-Saxon Pragmatism’ off of In Flagranti’s Worse For Wear and ends with Breakbots’ ‘Fantasy’ (almost). Besides those two tracks and Carte Blanche’s ‘Do! Do! Do!’ I can’t id anything else in the playlist. Maybe they’ll post something soon, because the whole mix is excellent. Download it and play it at work.

One of the more exciting 2011 Record Store Day releases was from the French super-label Ed Banger Records. The EP is titled The Bee Sides and features new tracks from Breakbot, SebastiAn, Justice, Busy P and Carte Blanche. The high-lite track has to be Breakbot’s fantastic ‘Fantasy’. Breakbot and Ruckzoid channel their inner Michael Jackson perfectly. It’s eerie. Here’s hoping this is the sound we’ll get from Breakbot’s LP.
