I must say, I’m pretty impressed with myself for completing this. Here is 514blog’s Best Remixes of 2010. There were so many fantastic releases this year it really was hard to narrow them down but I managed to pick the 20 absolute best. The remixes needed to not only sound good, but differ enough from their original forms as well.

Since summer is officially over, days are getting shorter and the weather is colder, I put together a list of the 16 most popular tracks of the summer. This list is based purely on the most downloaded songs from the past few months. N*E*R*D, LCD Soundsystem, The Chemical Brothers, Mark Ronson and Boys Noize all share 2 spots each on the list, while Tiga gets 3 for his remixes of I Can Change and I Wanna Be Your Telephone and the Hey Today! remix of You Gonna Want Me. Surprisingly Grum, Marina & The Diamonds, Chromeo and Aeroplane were only near the bottom, but then again I didn’t write the list. You can listen to and download any of the tracks you missed below.

The Chemical Brother’s Further is a gift that keeps on giving. Not only can I play it on repeat, but unexpected remixes keep popping up from the biggest names. First Popof took on Horse Power, now Bloody Beetroots have remixed Dissolve.

Yes yes yes! The Chemical Brother’s Horse Power gets remixed by the spectacular Popof. Probably Further’s hardest track, Horser Power is totally flipped around in the usual minimal Popof style, and I.love.it. The track was included in the Another World EP which featured the track’s radio edit as well as the previously unreleased (I think?) Lindstrøm and Boys Noize Summer remix of Swoon.

A few weeks ago Annie Mac leaked the Boys Noize Summer Remix of Chemical Brother’s smash single Swoon. I’m happy to finally find the full version of the track from the single’s remix EP. The EP also featured a Boys Noize instrumental and a funky Lindstrom and Prins Thomas Remix. Boys Noize is on fire this summer, with their N*E*R*D remix (Hot-N-Fun), and a soon to be released Scissor Sister‘s remix of Invisible Light.
