Somebody To Love Me (Holy Ghost! and Hervé remixes)

October 28th, 2010

Mark Ronson’s latest Record Collection single is the Boy George and Andrew Wyatt track Somebody To Love Me (totally my favourite track off the album). We’re very lucky to hear remixes of the single by Holy Ghost!, Hervé and Congo Rock. As usual Holy Ghost! with their funk, while Hervé sticks to his new tribal sound. Holy Ghost! shared a preview of their remix a few days back but you can grab the full thing here. Pick up the single in HQ when it drops.

Most popular songs of the summer

September 22nd, 2010

514blog's Most popular songs of the summer

Since summer is officially over, days are getting shorter and the weather is colder, I put together a list of the 16 most popular tracks of the summer. This list is based purely on the most downloaded songs from the past few months. N*E*R*D, LCD Soundsystem, The Chemical Brothers, Mark Ronson and Boys Noize all share 2 spots each on the list, while Tiga gets 3 for his remixes of I Can Change and I Wanna Be Your Telephone and the Hey Today! remix of You Gonna Want Me. Surprisingly Grum, Marina & The Diamonds, Chromeo and Aeroplane were only near the bottom, but then again I didn’t write the list. You can listen to and download any of the tracks you missed below.

Mark Ronson & The Business Intl. - Record Collection

I haven’t been this excited for an album release/leak in a long time. Mark Ronson (& The Business Intl.) is releasing his next album Record Collection on September 28th, but to our luck (not his though) is leaked today! All I can say is wow. He’s grown so much from Versions, yet its still very Ronson. He retired the horns and serves his throwback sound with a side of synth.

Pick up the long awaited Glass Mountain Trust featuring the return of D’Angelo. Also, be sure to grab Major Lazor’s remix of Ronson and Spank Rock’s The Bike Song.
