I must say, I’m pretty impressed with myself for completing this. Here is 514blog’s Best Remixes of 2010. There were so many fantastic releases this year it really was hard to narrow them down but I managed to pick the 20 absolute best. The remixes needed to not only sound good, but differ enough from their original forms as well.

Nero remixes the Daft Punk x N*E*R*D collab Hypnotize U. They take it in a more Human After All kinda way that I’m enjoying. Look out for more mixes of the amazing single produced by Daft Punk.

I realized that never shared an mp3 of this gem. The Daft Punk produced Hypnotize U is and will continue to be on repeat for a very long time. Check out their new LP Nothing when it drops this November. (Side note, the song Party People featuring T.I. is my jam)

N*E*R*D debut their new single Hypnotize You on David Letterman last night. I’m really digging the track produced by Daft Punk, and I’m very excited to hear a mastered version. N*E*R*D has worked with many electronic heavy hitters over the past year, but that nowhere near as impressive as having Daft Punk produce a track for them. I’m looking for their new album Nothing out November 2nd.

Since summer is officially over, days are getting shorter and the weather is colder, I put together a list of the 16 most popular tracks of the summer. This list is based purely on the most downloaded songs from the past few months. N*E*R*D, LCD Soundsystem, The Chemical Brothers, Mark Ronson and Boys Noize all share 2 spots each on the list, while Tiga gets 3 for his remixes of I Can Change and I Wanna Be Your Telephone and the Hey Today! remix of You Gonna Want Me. Surprisingly Grum, Marina & The Diamonds, Chromeo and Aeroplane were only near the bottom, but then again I didn’t write the list. You can listen to and download any of the tracks you missed below.

This has to be one of the most eclectic Hip-Hop/Pop releases we’ll see for a while. Crookers, Hot Chip, Yeasayer, Boys Noize, Nero and Starsmith all took turns at remixing N*E*R*D and Nelly Furtado’s latest Hot-N-Fun. Crookers is always a win, but hands down Boys Noize’s version is the best.
