Being as 2010 is now officially over, we need some new tunes to start off fresh. These few got me through the new year: Jame Blake’s Limit To Your Love is a bass driven Feist cover off of his 2011 self-titled debut. Although jj’s mixtape Kills was only released late December, it topped my 2010 favorites instantly. M.I.A’s It Takes A Muscle was chopped up by Pearson Sound into this beautiful sound scape refix. Midnight Magic remixed the Corrine track Dream A Little Dream for Scion. There are some fantastic cuts off of Last Train To Paris by Diddy’s new hip-hop troupe Dirty Money. Check out Strobe Lights featuring Lil Wayne and Ass On The Floor featuring Swizz Beatz. ceo released an absolutely beautiful cover of Beyoncé’s Halo. I must say, I’m pretty impressed with myself for completing this. Here is 514blog’s Best Remixes of 2010. There were so many fantastic releases this year it really was hard to narrow them down but I managed to pick the 20 absolute best. The remixes needed to not only sound good, but differ enough from their original forms as well.

In a move that seems completely unexpected, Tiga takes on the XX’s Shelter. Tiga keeps the track beautiful and airy, similar to his LCD Soundsystem remix. I absolutely adore it, but then again Tiga could remix your mother and it would be fantastic. I love the XX.
