In light of Chromeo being back at home tonight performing at the Montreal’s Metropolis, it seemed perfect to put together a Chromeo themed Flashback Friday. 2010 and 2011 saw, and will continue to see, us all obsessing over the duo’s 3rd full length LP, but we can’t forget the classics. It was basically impossible to pick a few tracks to share here. If it were legal I’d probably just throw up their entire catalog, but you know. Cop Fancy Footwork and their unforgettable debut She’s In Control if they aren’t a permanent part of your collection yet.
Destination Overdrive (DFA Remix) – Chromeo
Bonafied Lovin’ (Eli Remix Feat. Pase Rock) – Chromeo

In light of the success of Señor Stereo’s Unintentional EP released this past summer, Slow Roast Records has released a remix version featuring mixes by a bunch of our favorite artistes. Treasure Fingers, Gigamesh, Nadastrom, U-Tern and J Craze all take turns at the Señor Stereo tracks. This is what Slow Roast Records had to say about the high profile remixes:
First up a tech yet funky remix of “Hot Damn!” from Nadastrom. Followed by big room house vibes on I Am The Beat (Treasure Fingers remix). The third track is the immaculately produced, 90′s house influenced remix of Unintentional, by Vancouver’s U-Tern. Backed with a laid-back vintage disco rendition of Hot Damn! from Señor Stereo member and billboard charting Gigamesh (Mike Posner Cooler Than Me). Next up the glitchy, IDM inspired take on I Am The Beat by Salva, and last but not least DJ Craze’s minimal breakdown of the EP’s title track Unintentional.
Preview the remix EP over here, or head over to Beatport and grab yourself a copy before the EP is released everywhere else 2 weeks from now.

One of our favourite Fools Gold signee Treasure Fingers has put together an Epic Wave fix of Erix Prydz’s Niton (The Reason). I’ve always had a soft spot for Eric Prydz (hence the beautiful photo I chose for this post) and therefor you shouldn’t miss this. Treasure Fingers 4 Ever.

A Treasure Fingers remix is a beautiful thing. Along with Round Table Knights, Treasure Fingers has remixed Tensnake‘s new Coma Cat. The single features the original track, a radio edit and the two remixes. Pick it up on Beatport, the original is ace.

After the fantastic Holy Ghost! remix that was dropped a few weeks ago more big names hopped on board to remix Monarchy’s latest work Love Get Out Of My Way. Blog favourites Treasure Fingers, Sinden & Tim Goldsworthy all have released remixed of the track. Don’t miss out.
