VILLA x Yeasayer: I Remember (VILLA remix)

Valentines Day turned out to be a big day for music didn’t it? Not only did every dj under the sun release some form of Love-related mixtape, but Yeasayer released their new music video for I Remember and offered up the accompanying EP for free. The EP features the album version, a remix by Painted Palms and Villa’s dreary and romantic version. Grab it free with the video widget.

Villa dropped 2 previews of mixes they are working on (we’re working on I guess?) on Soundcloud today. The first is an absolutely spectacular version of Yeasayer’s I Remember. The Odd Blood track is one of my favorites from their 2010 album.
The second remix is a disco tinged version of Adele’s Rolling in the Deep. This one is in stark contrast to Jamie xx’s stripped back version we shared yesterday. 2011 could be Villa’s year.

N*E*R*D – Hot-N-Fun (Crookers + Hot Chip + Yeasayer Remixes)

This has to be one of the most eclectic Hip-Hop/Pop releases we’ll see for a while. Crookers, Hot Chip, Yeasayer, Boys Noize, Nero and Starsmith all took turns at remixing N*E*R*D and Nelly Furtado’s latest Hot-N-Fun.
